Salon Assistant Job – Part-Time

Are you looking to start or grow your career in a busy, friendly salon environment? We’re looking for a Salon Assistant to join our team at Hair by Vasari in Gosforth.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional salon, working alongside a talented and supportive team.

About the Role

This is a permanent part-time position (16 hours per week).

You’ll be working in a fast-paced, welcoming salon where no two days are the same. Flexibility is key, with working hours mainly between:

9:30am – 3:30pm, Tuesday to Saturday
(Exact days will vary depending on business needs)

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Salon Assistant, you’ll play an important role in keeping the salon running smoothly and ensuring every client has a great experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

Shampooing and preparing clients for their appointments
Meeting and greeting clients
Supporting with reception duties
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the salon
Assisting the team where needed in a busy environment

Comfortable working in a team
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Willing to learn and take initiative
Previous salon experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
